Meet Our Staff
We worship at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday, but there’s a lot more going on at First Presbyterian. Meet our staff who work hard to serve the mission of our church.
Rev. Bruce Mulder
Transitional Pastor
Dear family and friends of First Presbyterian Church of Farmington,
Grace and peace in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
It is a joy to be serving alongside you all as your Interim Pastor. I was born in Muskegon and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. I graduated from Hope College and Western Theological Seminary both in Holland, Michigan. I am an ordained Minister in the Reformed Church in America (RCA) and will begin my 26th year of ministry in July.
I am married to Jean. Buddy, our “105 pound of fur” a mastiff/lab mix with a pinch of doofus lives with us. 😊 I love baseball (a lifelong Pittsburgh Pirates fan), enjoy reading biographies and theology, and need my morning coffee and love drinking coffee with others, too!

First Pres grieves the loss of Leslie Van Hamme, cherished life-long member, office clerk and childcare provider.
For her bio Leslie wrote, “The first time I came to this church, I was 6 days old. I was baptized and confirmed here. I also attended preschool here and was very involved in LOGOS, Middlers and Senior Highs. I really enjoyed the four mission trips I went on being in Senior Highs…”
Her passing leaves a giant hole in our hearts.
